Rajan Ahuja
President
Rajan has 38 years of experience in oil and gas exploration and production. He is President of Shore Petroleum Corp of Corpus Christi, TX. Rajan also serves as CEO of Texegy LLC, an oil and gas exploration and production company based in Corpus Christi, Texas, and President and COO of SV Energy Company, also based in Corpus Christi.
Rajan is a founding member of Texegy LLC, which acquired several oil & gas assets in 2014-16 in Texas and Louisiana, including mineral acreage in Louisiana Austin Chalk play. In 2018, Texegy leased 60,000 acres of its 84,000 acres mineral position to Equinor (formerly Statoil) and partnered with Equinor in the seismic acquisition and subsequent development of the Louisiana Austin Chalk utilizing modern completion techniques. After acquiring 108 sq miles of 3D seismic, Equinor called off this project due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the leases lapsed in 2021. Recently, Texegy sold all its operated assets, leased approx. 11,000 acres to Continental Resources and is currently marketing its remaining mineral position in the Louisiana Austin Chalk.Rajan began his career as a Petroleum Engineer with Magnum Producing, a new startup, in 1987. Over the next 23 years with Magnum, Rajan served in multiple capacities, managing field operations as the company's vice president. His expertise includes drilling, production, reservoir engineering, completions, workovers, stimulations, secondary lifts, re-entries of old wellbores, facilities, saltwater disposal wells, oil and gas contracts, pipelines, and negotiating damages with the landowners. At its peak, Magnum operated approximately 500 wells in South Texas, East Texas, West Texas, South Louisiana, and Kansas and participated in an additional 300 non-operated wells.Mr. Ahuja holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge.
